Taking a cue from "Circles", this eight-page "teaser" was created as something available free to all readers, both online and as promotional printouts for cons; it is not vital to the plot, but it segues nicely into the first issue. It's just a brief prequel introducing Cody, Jake, and (though he's not named as such) Todd.
Since I had finished The Class Menagerie some time ago, it also gives a good preview of the current style of my art, and my propensity for strange layouts.
